The Korean publication The Investor (citing ET News) that claims the upcoming Samsung Galaxy Note 8 to feature force touch for accessing the hidden menus. The previous rumors had reported that Samsung would be introducing pressure-sensitive screen for the upcoming Galaxy Note 8.
Well, the force touch is also called 3-D touch. It has the ability to detect the particular amount of pressure which is applied to a touch screen. So this technology helps to perform different actions depending on how hard the user presses on the device.
The company will also utilize similar technology to the Galaxy Note 8’s virtual home button. With help of 3-D touch, the Galaxy Note 8 will allow users to instantly access hidden menus such as open the shortcuts and other features.
The pressure-sensitive display was first introduced by Apple in 2014 for Apple Watch. Then they had brought the feature to the iPhone 6S and iPhone 6S Plus.
