Google Pixel 2, Pixel 2 XL Will Automatically Toggled On Do Not Disturb Mode When You’re Driving

A few days back, Google has announced the most anticipated second-generation flagship Smartphone Google Pixel 2 and Pixel 2 XL with a bunch of surprises. But the surprises are not ending here; now Google has introduced an interesting feature dubbed as Do Not Disturb mode.

The Google Pixel 2 and Pixel 2 XL Do Not Disturb mode will automatically detect when the user is driving and then get toggled on the feature. This feature is similar to the iOS 11’s, “ Do Not Disturb While Driving” mode.

According to Android Police, Pixel 2 and Pixel 2 XL will detect that the user is driving or not with the help of phone’s sensors. Then the DND feature is getting activated.

According to the app description, the app provides features which are truly based on the local context for the Pixel devices. The Pixel Ambient Services app will automatically identify songs that are playing nearby and it displays the track title and artist on the lock screen.

Other screenshot reveals that Do Not Disturb mode will automatically turn on while the vehicle is moving or in a moving vehicle. It mentions that this feature is determined by Bluetooth connections and device motion. It seems that Do Not Disturb mode will only work when certain conditions are met.

Well, it’s unclear that how exactly the Google DND features will work and whether it will be extended to all Android users or it’s only for Pixel 2 Smartphone.
